‘Twas an honor to be included in the Hire an Illustrator-sponsored exhibit at London’s The Framer’s Gallery, April 9-12, 2019, and the accompanying catalog. The exhibit was an homage to the works of Jules Verne—all submissions had to reflect one or more of Verne’s works.

As you can see, what we’ve got here is the scene from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea when Captain Nemo shows Arronax the wreckage of The Vengeur. The ship was sunk 74 years earlier by her own crew who took that drastic measure so as not to be taken prisoner by the British. I took liberties with the scene and made two of the Nautilus crew explore the wreckage. I also added the giant shark from Part 2, Chapter 3.
